electronic book (ebook) reader.

The Kindle ebook reader weighs just 10.2 ounces
and is only ½ an inch thick. It's thinner than
the average pencil.

Amazon has over 300,000 books and magazines that
may be loaded onto a Kindle. You can carry a
maximum of 1500 digital format books on the
original Kindle and up to 3500 on the Kindle DX!

All versions of the Kindle have text to speech,
in other words, audio ability. So, if your eyes
are tired, you can listen to your Kindle!

The Amazon Kindle includes a basic web browser,
built-in dictionary, annotation or bookmark
feature, highlighting, and a search function
to look for an exact section within a book.
